Checks during data logging

Not all Coding Modes do offer checks during data logging.

Coding Mode: Standard (ad-hoc)

Those checks are only available in the coding mode Standard (ad hoc) and allow you to minimize coding errors, whenever you need to perform a 100% continues coding using mutual exclusive codes.

oPlay sound on invalid key stroke - Whenever you log the same Code twice in a row, you hear a beep.

oWarn if consecutive Codes are the same - Prevents mistakes during a continuous coding session, in which the same Code cannot be repeated sequentially.

oContinue automatically after redefinition - After redefinition of the last Code, the video continues automatically

Read Check double codings for further details.

Coding Mode: Lexical (post-hoc)

Because logging Events in this coding modes works completely different, other checks are available:

oAllow only SPACEBAR to log Events - To prevent that users start Events with the SPACEBAR and try to close it with the actual code, activate this option.

oHandle empty Events - When the user uses the SPACEBAR not only to log Events, but also to pause and play the video, empty Events will be the results. What the available options have to offer is explained in Handle Empty Events.
