Main Features

Screen recording (Screencast)

You can specify which screen should be recorded, or record the full desktop, as spread over multiple monitors. Even switching between monitors during a recording is possible: LogSquare can record only the screen on which the mouse is currently visible.

User entries

All keyboard activities of the user are logged and stored within the project file. You can choose whether to log single characters or whole words.

User Audio and Video

Whenever a working mic and/or a webcam are attached to your computer, Logsquare can record either the user audio, a user video or both.

Picture in picture

LogSquare records separate videos for your screencast, including all mouse activities, and your webcam. You can export a video with or without the users face in a free selectable corner (PiP).

Eye Tracking

LogSquare is able to record the user gazes, if you connect a compatible Eye Tracking device.

When using Mangold eye trackers, it is even possible to perform a multi-monitor recording including gaze data by using multiple eye tracking devices!

User impressions

With LogSquare you can allow your test persons to log their own impressions. This can be done either through predefined Codes or free text.

Task management

LogSquare also enables the user to work through a predefined list of tasks and questionnaires without interference of an outsider.

If you want to manage and explain the tasks remotely during a session, you can use our Mangold Remote Observer on the moderator' s PC or hand-held - if this device is connected to the same network.

Observer impressions

Live - You can log your impressions as an outsider - live during the test - by connecting to the test computer with the Mangold Remote Observer. The observer is able to enter free live comments as well as log predefined Codes.

Off-line - Since LogSquare 7 it is also possible to log observations for a previously recorded session. The various coding modes allow you to enter markers and codes, using any kind of coding scheme.
