Installation > Update CheckIT application

When updating VideoSyncPro Studio, the corresponding CheckIT version is part of that installation process.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you make a Backup of your CheckIT database BEFORE you perform the update AND export the different parts as well, in case major changes prevent the use of your old database.

For in-between updates of the CheckIT app only, you only need to copy all items from the new zip file into the ../Mangold VideoSyncPro Studio Data/Webroot folder, in most cases. Such updates will come with special instructions.

Stand-alone Installations

Should bigger changes require a full rebuild of the DataBase and other modules, the old installation should be deleted first.

In that case, make a backup of your data by exporting your Checklists and Sessions BEFORE your replace your current installation.

To make sure that all items are installed correctly, delete the node_modules folder from the ../CheckIT/App folder before you copy the new version into your CheckIT folder.

Note: Removing the node_modules folder initiates a new installation of all dependencies the next time the start.bat file is executed.
