Manually select multiple data file elements

If you need to select some Events that are scattered (elements that are NOT in one range):

Hold down the CTRL key of the computer's keyboard and click on a line in the current data file.

A solid green arrow appears behind the time information of the selected line.

Click on as many elements as you want, still holding the CTRL  key. (Each selected line is marked with the solid green arrow.)

The following characteristics are to be kept in mind:

If a DataGroup or DataSet is selected this way, automatically all sub-ordered elements are selected as well.

Clicking on a selected element with the CTRL key still pressed will un-mark this item.

Clicking on a non marked element without the CTRL  key pressed will un-mark all items.

Manually select a range of data file elements

To select a range of data file elements like e.g. the Events 10 - 50 do as follows:

Click in the first line that should be included in the selection.

Scroll down until you can see the last line you need (make sure you do not click into the file while scrolling).

Press the SHIFT key and hold it while you click on the last line that has to be included in your selection.

TIP:You can also combine the Selection by Search method and the Manual Selection of data file elements: First use one of the search routines as described to select most of the elements needed. Afterwards use the CTRL key to add or remove elements from the selection manually.
