Unite Events into one DataSet

If, during analysis, you discover that you did log your observations into too many DataSets -like using separate DataSets per pass for the same session- you can always put your data back together again.

Merge Manually

To manually move Events into an other DataSet:

Cut & Paste your Events to the required location.

Read Re-arrange Groups and Sets for further information.

Merge Events from different Sets

If all Events from one DataGroup need to be merged into a single DataSet:

Select Transform - Restructure - Data Btn_RestructureData  - Move all Events to a single Dataset (per DataGroup).

INTERACT creates a new data file in which all Events are merged into a single DataSet per DataGroup, leaving the original data structure untouched.

IMPORTANT: If the data to be merged belongs to different Subjects, per Set, make sure you can still identify which behavior belongs to what subject after the merge!
- Read Use DataSet Description as ID for details BEFORE the merge.

Merge Sets from Different Groups

If you want to move all DataSets into a single DataGroup (for instance if each DataGroup holds only a single DataSet and the Group itself is not of importance):

Select Transform - Restructure  - Data Btn_RestructureData - Move all DataSets into a single DataGroup

to start the merge.

INTERACT creates a new data file in which all DataSets are moved into a single DataGroup, leaving the original Events per DataSet structure untouched.
