Multimedia Playback

INTERACT has always supported a wide range of multimedia formats, so you rarely needed to convert you original Videos, but setting up you system could be tricky...

Since INTERACT uses its independent INTERACT-Player, codec related issues have been (nearly) eliminated!

Per default, when we talk about multimedia files, we talk about recorded video material.

Those who are interested in analyzing audio files, should read Analyze Audio.

IMPORTANT: All security systems (CCTV) known to us, produce video material that is not suited for detailed behavioral analysis!
So beware and contact us before you install a none Mangold video lab!

(Un)Known Media File Types

If you cannot open your media file in INTERACT, receiving the message "Unknown file type", it might just be a case of a missing entry within the Video file types list:

Click General - Program - SettingsBtn_ApplicationSettings.

Switch to the File Extensions tab:

Settings_FileExtensions

Enter a semicolon [;] and the extension you want to add like this "*.nxt" into the Video text box.

Confirm you settings by clicking OK.

Note: Depending on your user rights you might need to restart INTERACT before the changes are applied.
