SPACEBAR with Duration

This option is available for all logging methods and absolute obligatory for logging Events with the Lexical-coding method using the SPACEBAR.

This option can be found at the bottom of the Code definition dialog.

Arrow-Right-OrangeSelected- If SPACEBAR with Duration is selected, the SPACEBAR behaves like any other Code with duration:

Press the SPACEBAR once to log the start time (start time).

Press the SPACEBAR a second time to close the current Event, by entering an end time code (offset).

INTERACT enters an Event, without any Codes, but with time information, which enables you to easily find this spot later.

Note: Within the Lexical-coding method the SPACEBAR  is part of the logging process. But even here you can log an Event and log the next Event directly afterwards, without entering any Codes in the already just logged Event.

Arrow-Right-OrangeCleared - If SPACEBAR is treated as a Code with duration is not selected, you are able to use the SPACEBAR to enter markers (Events without duration) at any interesting point in time, which you cannot or do not want analyze at that moment.

Press the SPACEBAR at any interesting happening.

The SPACEBAR can be used, to simply mark a specific period or point in time for later analysis.
