LogSquare Licencing

Your LogSquare package comes with a USB license key, named CodeMeter Stick or a License Code.

On this stick, the license information for the available LogSquare modules are programmed.

This means, that the key needs to be inserted into a computer, so the software can verify if you do have a valid license.

oThe LogSquare Recorder requires a license to run.

oThe LogSquare Analyzer requires a license to run.

oThe LogSquare Designer an be used without the license.

oThe Remote Observer can be started without a license, but a license is required in order to connect to a Recorder.

For each module, a single network license is available. This enables you to run separate modules on different systems, as long as they are all in the same network.

On top of the license information, the stick also offers a flash drive section, that can be use to transfer data or even install one of our portable Mangold software products.

IMPORTANT: Installing LogSquare on the flash drive of the stick itself allows you to perform a usability test WITHOUT any installation on the participant PC!

Network License Setup

If you want to simultaneously run separate program modules on different computers, you need to setup a CodeMeter License Server - which is not as hard as it sounds - to make use of the LogSquare network licenses.

So, if you plan to use the Mangold Remote Observer during your sessions, or want to do some analysis on previously recorded sessions during a recording session, you need to make sure that your licenses can be found properly over the network. For this, all systems need to be available in the same network.

Insert the license key into one of the computers (probably best to insert it into a Control room computer, where it cannot be accessed by everyone).

This computer, with the license key physically inserted, needs to be turned into a CodeMeter License Server.
