Legend

The Timeline Chart offers two kinds of legends:

Arrow-Right-OrangeNames - On the left, the Names-legend shows Class and Code names per line (left side caption).
Arrow-Right-OrangeColors - A floating dialog showing all colors and the corresponding Code names, grouped by Class in the Color-legend.

Names-Legend

The Legend tab of the TLC options influences the display of the legend at the left side of the Timeline Chart window:

Click the Settings Btn_Options icon, within the Timeline Chart window.

Switch to the Legend tab.

Separation

You can decide how the Class description is separated from the Code.

Define the separator that is used to separate Class and Code, by entering a character into the Separation between Class and Code field.

What is displayed here can be altered:

Choose what Class and Code information is displayed:

oAll - means Complete Class and Code information. You can set the separator between Class and Code in the Separation between Class and Code field.

oNo Class - displays only the Codes.

oOff - no Class-Code information is displayed, only Set information.

Font and background

The sample text 'ABCghj' in the grey box shows a preview of your selection.

Select a font type and size from their respective drop down lists.

You can also change the color of the legend's background and text (=font color):

Click on the color-drop-down menu to open the color picker:

Drag the slider in the vertical bar to chance the color base.

Click inside the large square to select the intensity of the color of your choice.

The solid colored square shows a preview of the selected color.

Color Legend

The moment you display all Codes in one line per Class or even per DataSet, the Codes are no longer listed individually in the name legend.

In that case, you need a legend that tells you the meaning of the colors.

Click the i icon above the left hand 'Names Legend' to display the color legend:

The colors are assigned in the Code Archive editor and stored in the Code Archive *.icar file.
