After installation you can adjust the various default settings to optimize the software to your working situation. The availability or effect of certain features might differ between the Windows and the macOS version.
The most important settings are:
 | Language - INTERACT is available in multiple languages. You can switch between languages whenever you need, as is described in Language. |
| Document Time format - All time information is logged in video frame-based steps, matching the number of frames of the (leading) video source. The collected time information is stored in 100 nanosecond values and displayed, per default, in the international 'time code format' showing hours:minutes:seconds:frames. You can change this display time format to a range of different time formats. Read Formats - Document Time format for details. |
| Statistics Time format - Independent of the local document time format, you can select a separate statistics time format that is also used during data export. Read Formats-Statitics Time format for details |
| Main Layout Settings - These settings are easy accessible right from the Start menu and allow you to alter the appearance of your INTERACT document. |
| Shared data - To easily share the same Code definitions, templates and Code Archives among multiple raters in a work-group, INTERACT offers the possibility to move the default Mangold INTERACT Data folder. You can change the location of this shared data folder on the Paths tab in the program settings dialog. |
