Recorded video material often does not contain exactly the scenery you are interested in for your observations.

The most common situations are:

oSeveral minutes have been recorded before the actual test situation begins.

oMultiple test situations were recorded in a single video file, resulting in a different start time for each session.

oThe actual test you need to observe starts at different times in different video files, but you need to compare the first so many seconds or minutes after the start per session.

oThe recording was (automatically) split into multiple videos for one session. Maybe because the session was too long for the default 2 Gb files of many recording systems, or because you are making 24/7 recordings and each video covers a day or maybe just 4 hours.
