EXPORT Behavioral Data

You can export all behavioral information from an INTERACT document easily. In most cases, a simple copy & paste allows you to transfer data between INTERACT and your target application.

The content of all Result dialogs can be copied or saved as a text file. Even the raw data can be transfered by copy & paste.

For some purposes a real export is needed though.

To keep the size of this manual under control, the listed routines are described in the INTERACT Help btn_help only.

Arrow-Right-OrangeExport statistics - The content of any of the Results dialogs can be transferred by Copy & Paste a well as a Save as... command. Details are available in the corresponding topics.
Arrow-Right-OrangeExport to SPSS - The Full statistics results from the Timeline Chart can be exported in a special SPSS format that puts all cases (= DataSets) in one line.

Read Export Results to learn how.

Arrow-Right-OrangeInterval based export of Codes per Class - From within the Timeline Chart, it is possible to export your data into a matrix, in which each line presents a predefined time interval and each Class is represented by a single column. The Code that was logged first (for a particular Class) within an interval, is entered into the corresponding Class column. This works for Classes with mutual exclusive Codes only!

Click Analysis - Evaluation - Timeline Chart Btn_TLC_Chart_AllData, to create a Timeline Chart with the data to export.

Select Analysis - Export per Class from the TLC menu.

Read Export data per Class for further information.

Arrow-Right-OrangeInterval based export per Code - Also from within the Timeline Chart, you can create a 0/1 Matrix, based on a predefined interval. For each Code/Class combination, a separate column created. Each line represents the predefined interval. Whenever a Code was coded within an interval, a 1 is entered into this line. If no Code was coded, a 0 is entered.

Click Analysis - Evaluation - Timeline Chart Btn_TLC_Chart_AllData, to create a Timeline Chart, with the data to export.

Select Analysis - Export per Code from the TLC menu.

Read Export data per Code for details.

Arrow-Right-OrangeCluster data export - To get to the roots of pattern detection or to exclude minor coding errors, the Cluster data export routine is worth a second glance.

Click Analysis - Evaluation - Timeline Chart Btn_TLC_Chart_AllData, to create a Timeline Chart, with the data to export.
